Patricia Crist Rudicil Memorial Scholarships
A collection of four art scholarships in the amount of $400 have been established at the Plymouth Community Arts Council by Shari Zamarra and Jim McNally to honor their stepsister, Patricia Crist Rudicil. The Patricia Crist Rudicil Memorial Scholarships are need-based, and will be awarded throughout the next year to elementary and middle school artists enrolling in the Plymouth Community Arts Council's week-long summer camps and after-school art programs. 2021 Savage Studio Art Awards
Established in 2021 by Plymouth artist Leonardo Savage, these talent-based art awards and scholarships are for students in the 5th-9th grades, given to encourage the creative artistic pursuits of the young people in our community as they move through the "middle grades" into high school. Students are nominated by their PCAc art instructors. The 2021 prizes include: a student designed T-shirt, this year's created with winner Charlie Palko; a scholarship for PCAC classes or camps during the year following the award; and a monetary prize to be used for art supplies, equipment,museum visit, art experience or additional art training. 2021 Recipients: Lily Betsistas, Nora Foster, Pete Mascaro, Sam Milligan, Charlie Palko and Lia Victor. |
Debra Madonna Scholarship
Funded by our membership and donations, this this award is presented to an outstanding PCAC middle school/ high school student each year. The scholarship was named for our longest-serving Board President and volunteer, Debra Madonna and established in her honor. Student artists are nominated by their PCAC instructors in support of their creative pursuits. The prize includes both a scholarship for PCAC classes, workshops or camps, and a monetary prize to be used for art supplies, equipment, museum visit, or art experience. 2021 Recipient, Maggie Trapp |
