Saturday Night Music events...

A D’Ark and Seasonably Cool Evening with D’Art Band
(Dress appropriately.)

When: Saturday October 22nd at 8PM
Where: 774 N. Sheldon Plymouth, MI

Admission will be $5 but may be applied toward the purchase of any Waldon Reed, Jr. CD on sale at the performance.

We will be collecting at the door.  Like last time we'll be playing about half original music and half cover tunes (some classic rock tunes).
All ages are welcome!



About Saturday Night Music:

The Plymouth Community Arts Council is welcoming back the Saturday Night Music program to provide a venue for local artists to present their music to the public.
  • The goal of the Saturday Night Music Series Program is to provide a venue for local musicians to present their music to the public, collaborate with other artists and build an audience base in the community through monthly performance opportunities on the PCAC auditorium stage.
  • The program includes establishing a Saturday night concert series over a 5-6 month period.
  • Under the program, each participating performer/presenter will take responsibility for scheduling and presenting one or more Saturday night monthly concerts and creating a cohesive performance theme for that night. Performance themes might include a song writer’s performance, folk music, jazz /R&B music, children's music, cappella singing, world music, chamber music or any other style or combination of music types.The concerts may include one or more music performers or music groups.
  • The PCAC has set a minimum facility fee for the performance as noted below in order to establish a partnership and commitment from the performer/presenter in supporting our non-profit organization during these challenging economic times.

Responsibilities of the Performer/Presenter:

  • Payment of a $100 facility fee per concert night to PCAC (This is to cover operating expenses including room set up, utilities, furniture use, general maintenance, etc.) The payment must be paid in advance in order to secure the facility for the night of the performance. A refund of $50 will be made for cancellations made up to thirty days before the date of the performance.
  • Collection of concert admission fee (amount to be determined by performer/presenter) from audience members. All admission fees are to be kept by the performer/presenter. 
  • Provide and serve refreshments
  • Provide and operate sound system for the concert event.
  • Performer/presenter may set up for performance beginning at 5:00 P.M. on the date of the performance and must be out of the facility by 11:00P.M.
  • Performer/presenter is responsible for the auditorium to be left in the same condition as  when they arrived
  • Presenter/performer is responsible for general marketing and recruiting audience members for their performance night
 

        Responsibilities of the PCAC:

  • PCAC will provides set up of 110 chairs in the auditorium
  • PCAC will provide set up in the lobby for admission fee collector
  • PCAC will provides targeted marketing for the concert series on  PCAC website, weekly news letters, bi-weekly news e-blasts, PCAC Facebook, posters in PCAC facility and other publications that may become available to PCAC
  • A member of the PCAC Saturday Night Music Series Committee will be responsible for monitoring the event on behalf of the PCAC
